The Sudoku Competition UM 2009 was held at the Ungku Aziz Residential College at the University of Malaya on 29th September 2009. The event was organised by the Students of the College and facilitated by Sudoku.com.my Sdn. Bhd.

University of Malaya Sudoku Champions 2009

About 100 + students from various faculties competed in this first Sudoku Competition at the campus. The Organising Committee, comprising of 18 students, from the 11th College did a magnificent job to make the event a great success. The Hall was well lighted and decorated; participants had individual tables and chairs with their names affixed on the tables; the PA system worked well; the competitors were timed by so many scrutineers with cell phones with split timing. The recording of completion times at this competition was excellent compared to many bigger events that we have witnessed. The event was well coordinated and run without a hitch.

The students had good support from the Master of the College, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdul Jalil Othman and their Advisor, Mr. Teh Yuen Tat and all the Fellows of the College who were all present to grace the occasion.
